About Me
I live and work in Manchester. I am currently in training for social work and work part – time as a massage therapist. I became interested in massage in the late 1990’s when I was offered massage by a friend who had trained in therapeutic massage and reiki. I developed an interest in safe touch, which over a period of time developed my inner awareness about bodywork and its experience. The benefits of receiving massage encouraged me to embark on a professional therapeutic training programme and after much research I found a course that I thought would support what I was looking for. I enrolled at the Sandra Day School of Massage and I have never looked back since. I was spiritually attuned to the course, gaining inner level of awareness knowledge and understanding of the different approaches to massage. This was enlightening and challenging and broadened my beliefs about therapeutic massage. I gained an I.T.E.C, (International Therapy Examination Council) ISPA (International Spa Aromatherapist) qualification in anatomy & physiology and IFPA (International Federation for Professional Aroma therapist) Therapeutic Massage Diploma. I am affiliated to each of these professional bodies.
I have worked with various client groups, mental health and learning disabilities, which I have found to be most rewarding. I continue to work in this field using a holistic approach treating each client uniquely.
I am accredited to IFPA and ISPA through the Sandra Day School of Training, which is www.sandraday.com ITEC is www.itecworld.co.uk www.ifparoma.org.uk
